I selected the ideal ink— Sepia yet dark enough to convey what I wished to say

What if
I handpicked the perfect parchment— Thin yet heavy enough to carry the weight of words
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if
I found a bottle beyond compare— miniature yet spacious enough to hold all these emotions
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What if
I walked to the serenest sea— Powerful to surge across yet gentle enough to cradle my heart

What if
I set it free— the paper, the ink and the bottle — Into this sea?
Would it reach the one dearest to me?
