23rd April
Eyes of the Tiger
Two majestic eyes stare straight at me
Shining with ferocious strength
And the sight sent a chill down my spine.
Two majestic eyes and their golden hue,
Contrasted brilliantly against stripes
Which shifted ever so slightly
Revealing beneath, the tough sinews.
Two majestic eyes with immense power
Caused all hapless prey to cower
Rivalled only by the deadly claws
And sharp teeth nestled in strong jaw.
Two majestic eyes peered around
On sharp alert for the next feast
Treading stealthily on forest ground,
Nothing could match this regal beast
Alas!
Two majestic eyes stare straight at me now
Whimpering in caged fear
And the sound sends a chill down my spine.
