NaPoWriMo Day 30.
The final day has arrived! For today, the prompt was to write a minimalist poem. As someone who is extremely fond of long, winding poems; this prompt was definitely challenging and it took me a long time to find the perfect prompt.
As a person who is quite hard of hearing, this poem reflects on the day I got my advanced hearing aids and wore them for the first time. A truly emotional moment, it made me realise how everyday sounds are often taken for granted and labelled as background noise while for some people like me, it’s music to the ears.
Ps. Thank you for sticking with me until this very end. It was an incredible NaPoWriMo 2019!
